Woollard & Henry announces expansion creates 20 new jobs

Leading precision engineering and fabrication company Woollard & Henry announces business expansion to support ambitious growth objectives, to increase turnover by 40% in the next three years. The established engineering firm is opening new factory premises in Turriff, recruiting for 20 new jobs in order to meet growing demand from the oil and gas sector.

The company that is 100% owned by its employees has enjoyed strong growth over the last seven years taking its turnover to £6million in 2012. This growth has been largely due to the diversification of its service and product offering which has resulted in strong growth within the paper production industry and oil and gas sector.

Fred Bowden, Managing Director of Woollard & Henry, said: ‘This expansion comes at a really exciting time for Woollard & Henry, we have achieved substantial growth over the last couple of years and the opening this new factory was an organic move that has been required in order to meet the demand from our customers.’

As a result, Woollard & Henry is looking to recruit skilled workers for its new Turriff premises for roles including fabricators, machinists and office-based staff to take its current employment number from 62 to 85 within the next couple of months.

Woollard & Henry was established over 130 years ago and has a strong heritage within the paper-making industry. The company has since diversified successfully into the oil and gas industry with services including fabrication and precision engineering.

Headquartered in Dyce, Aberdeen with a specialist design team based in Frankfurt, Germany this development marks the opening of Woollard & Henry’s third site.
